Finals are a soul-sucking leech that needs to be stepped on.
4 finals in one day. Wtf? And all but one of them are the ones I'm MOST stressed about.
Piano jury at 8:45 this morning. Worth 75% of my overall grade, so I literally could have not come to a single class all sememster, passed the final, and passed the class. I've been stressing about it all week. Practiced in every moment of my spare time. I think I did fairly well on it, except for sight reading, which was an awful nightmare, as I knew it would be. I'm hoping I did well enough on all the other parts of the final that the 0 that I surely got in sight reading won't pull me down too much.
Snare jury was at 10:35 and Dr. Sekelsky assigned the hardest solo in the book. We played over it for the last 2 classes in a row, and nobody could get through it except the teacher. Stressed about that all week, practiced for three hours last night and 2 hours this morning and still didn't feel like I was ready. Surprisingly, I got a B, and since I've had an A in class all semester, it looks like that's the grade I'll be finishing with.
Strings final wasn't hard. Didn't expect it to be. Got an A.
And in just over an hour, I'll go to the most dreaded final of all: college algebra. I'm so not ready. I'm not quite as stressed about it as I was yesterday because I managed to get ahold of a graphing calculator, which is an absolute neccessity to pass this test. But even with a graphing calculator, I'm not confident about the outcome of this test. I just want it to be over with. All of my stressful terrifying finals are today, so once today is over, the rest of the week will be a cakewalk.
Come on, today, be over already!
